Finn is Growing Up

Milestone #1: Finn has his first tooth! I like to blame his recent crankiness on this...but most of the time he's a happy little guy. *tooth cannot actually be seen in the picture below Milestone #2: Finn eats all kinds of babyfood now -- green beens, carrots, peas, oatmeal, butternut squash...you name it, he'll eat it. It took him a while to actually realize that the rice cereal I originally fed him was food, but now he can't get enough to eat! He cries if I take too long to shovel it in his mouth. Soon I will start grinding up our meals in the Magic Bullet...what fun!
Milestone #3: Finn has officially started to army crawl. He can't get up on all fours yet, so instead he tucks one arm under his body and uses the other one to pull himself forward. And yes, that is a light switch cover that he is trying to reach in the following video...what can I say, everything has become a "toy" in our house lately.

Vantage Point -- A Must See!

My sister Megan was kind enough to babysit last night so that Aaron and I could go out to a movie. We saw "Vantage Point" and LOVED it! It is so intense, we were both on the edge of our seats the whole time. Not only was it suspenseful, but I really liked the artistic choices of the director...I would definitely recommend it! Has anyone else seen it?

Photoshoots...you win some you lose some

I just took Finn in to JC Penney to get his 6 month pictures (even though he's 3 days away from 7 months...yeah I'm a slacker). Long story short, his appointment ended up being right around nap time which equals crappy pictures. He was all smiles before we got to the studio...but as soon as he saw the camera, his once jovial expression turned to complete boredom. He seriously just stared at the camera for every shot...oh, except for the one shot of him crying, let's not forget that. I actually almost ordered that one but decided to go for the 'confused/tongue-sticking-out-a-little/half-smiling' shot instead. Here are some shots I took recently to prove that he really can take cute pictures!

This is the classic 'sucked-in-bottom-lip' smile. It is always accompanied by an 'mm-mmm' sound. I know it makes him look prrrretty funky, but Aaron and I love it!
