For Grandma and Grandpa Harker

Here are some pictures from the holidays of Finn with my parents that I haven't had a chance to upload yet:

Taj, Milo, Grandpa, Finn, Sawyer and Brody on New Years Eve. Finn has decided to go with his 'strong and serious' pose for this shot, but he really does LOVE being around his cousins!
Sawyer, Gemma, Grandma and Finn. I love Finn's cute little smile in this one. He and Gemma are best friends, it is so cute to see them get excited when they see eachother.

Grandpa reading a book with Finn...definitely Finn's favorite past time.

Gemma, Grandpa and Finn at the tabernacle on Temple Square when we went to see the lights. They had so much fun running around!
And because I know my mom will love it, here is a video of Finn playing with Aaron and his new stuffed elephant (named Eddie). Finn loves to watch this video and still laughs every time I show it to him. His elephant is already his favorite stuffed animal and he carries it around the house by the trunk whenever he gets the chance. Enjoy:

Just can't get enough,,,

My wonderful neighbor just emailed me these pics that she took of Finn in his snowsuit right before this happened.

I just can't get enough of the little guy all bundled up...and I thought these were a nice contrast to the frowny shots we got of him later that day :)

Dino Museum

Gemma, Finn and McKenna trying to infiltrate yet another dino exhibit

A couple days after Christmas the entire Harker clan invaded the Dino Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Finn has always been too young for this kind of thing, but this time he loved chasing his cousins and playing with all the hands-on exibits. We finished with luch at the cafe and Finn fell asleep .2 seconds after being strapped into his car-seat. Aaron was so great and took care of him for the rest of the day so I could go to Eagle Mountain and spend more time with my family. Finn LOVES one-on-one time with his Dad and I got to have a kid-free day so everybody won!

Gemma and Finn in their dino dress-ups

Finn practicing his excavating skills. Below is a video of the same activity. He loved taking his shoes off and playing in the sand!

Christmas 2008

Finn and I opening his first gift...gotta love his two-piece flannel Christmas jammies!

Christmas was so fun this year. It's been a while since my ENTIRE fam got together, but everyone came to Utah this year and it was such a blast! It was especially great having my sister Brittany and her family here from Calgary that we hardly ever get to see.

We had a big dinner on Christmas Eve in Salt Lake where Finn successfully used utensils to feed himself for the whole meal! It was pretty amazing. After dinner, we had a nativity play where all the kids dressed up as shepherds, wooly lambs, wise men etc. that was a lot of fun.

Christmas day was the best ever. Finn had been clawing at his gifts under the tree all through December and was so excited when he actually got to open them! Christmas is so much more fun with your own kids, Aaron and I were so excited just watching Finn be excited.

Finn getting the goods out of his stocking. I finished making his this year that is similar to the green and brown ones I made for Aaron and I a couple years ago. I'm pretty proud of them seeing as I don't.sew.at.all.

Aaron holding a picture of Finn that I got him to put on his desk at work
Finn playing with his magnet farm toy from Grandma and Grandpa Harker. He loves to push the button and dance to the music as seen in the video below:

Aaron with his trombone stand I got him. I'm hoping this will help him use his talent more since he used to keep his trombone in a case under our bed. It looks really nice in the corner of our room!

Aaron holding a gift-set of assorted hot sauces from his mom...perfect gift for him!

Finn opening a present with Daddy.

Finn's favorite toy by far was a jumping Tigger that he got from Grandpa Parks and Nana Lana. Usually mechanized things like this freak him out, but he loved it right away!

Later my sisters and I hung out while the boys went to see "Valkyrie." Aaron really liked it and I think he enjoyed the boy time. The rest of the day was spent playing games, playing with Finn and lazing around stuffing our faces with yummy food -- the perfect Christmas.

Finn playing with his Dad and Uncle Tom on Christmas day. He LOVES being thrown back and forth between people.

Boxing Day (aka the day after Christmas) we had another big family dinner at the Stake Center by Megan's house. Crazy that my family is so big now that we need a gym to hold us all. We saved some traditional things for this day since my sister Stacie couldn't make it from St. George until then. We had some family pictures taken, ate a ginormous meal, enjoyed a family talent show (where Aaron showcased his penny whistle skills) and white elephant game while the kids ran rampant in the gym...so fun!
Tom and Lesli holding Finn, McKenna and Mathieu (me in the background) during the talent show. We held it in the cutest primary room ever where we all sat on little pews and watched the performers on a miniature stage.

I'm Back

Alright, I am a little ashamed to say that I haven't posted anything forever due to the fact that Aaron gave me 'Twilight' for Christmas. Yes, I was pretty much the only female on the planet that hadn't read it yet. Well, let's just say that reading has consumed my free time since January 1st...and now I am done all 4 books. Yikes, I read them each in about 2 days...wow, it's nice to have a life again :)

Stay tuned for the yule tide catch up...
