Pat Sajack Strikes Again

Some of you may recall this post where I talked about how much Finn LOVES "Wheel of Fortune." He pretty much loves all game shows, but Wheel is definitely his favorite.

Well I guess all that Wheel watching has paid off because about a month ago Aaron and I discovered that Finn knows his alphabet! Yes, he knows the entire alphabet. He has always been curious about letters and when he points to one, we tell him what it is, but we never really thought he was absorbing anything. Now he can point to any letter (with the exception of W that still gives him a little trouble) and exclaim its name with confidence.

We just got an alphabet book from the library and I took a video of Aaron reading it to him. The video is pretty long, but it showcases what a little smarty pants he is! Aaron and I can't take credit for this at all, it just must be something Finn is interested in. Our thanks goes out to Pat Sajack for instilling in our little guy the love of letters. Thanks Pat!

My kids loved to watch this. When Finn looks up at you, Taj shouted out, "he's looking at me!" They think this is some kind of Big Brother view into your world, I think. They were trying to wave at Finn. And after it was over, they both said, "Good job, Finn!" I think I will have Brody learn his letters from this clip. :)

Anyway, your kid is a GENIUS! And now I will feel no guilt about having my kids watch more television. :)

Wow! Way to go Finn! It's amazing the things they learn without being taught!

Baby Einstein find it....Found! Finn is a Smarty Pants! We don't have TV and I keep telling Dan that it's gonna make Choob smarter but boy was i WRONG! My kid doesn't even know his real name. Again, my fault. We'll be getting cable next week thanks to this post. Bring on the Wheel!

That's A-MAZING! You should send that into Wheel of Fortune and thank them for educating your child. (and ask to have him as a contestant) He's adorable! I can't believe we saw him at Christmas and he is talking so much now!

i'm thoroughly impressed. he is a major smarty pants. it's official, he's marrying halle.

however, i'm a little disappointed that he thinks the last letter in the alphabet is a zee, because it is obviously a zed. where's your canadian pride, ash? ha!

so cute.

he is awesome! his little voice is so dang cute too.

ash if he loves letters you have to get him 'Leap Frog Letter Factory'. stella learned all her letters and what sound they make before she was 18 months. good videos...i think he will dig it.

AMAZING! Good job on the video - I second the motion of you writing to Wheel of Fortune and reporting your little genius! Maybe Finn could make a guest appearance!!

Give yourselves some of the credit too. Both of you are two of the smartest people I know. Aaron was speaking in complete sentences before he could walk.

I love it! He's so SMART! And adorable, too =-) I was going through old photos yesterday, trying to figure out what boxes needed to go in the attic. I found your engagement photo and it brought back all kinds of memories. Miss you!

Another comment on this post because we just got back from Vegas and I thought of you often because they were promoting that Wheel of Fortune is coming there LIVE next month!

Ok, and also because they have the Price is Right cliff-climber-leiderhosen (sp?!) guy on one of the slot machines at the Palazzo...
